Biden’s HHS Buys More Needles, Syringes in Sprint to Vaccinate (1)

Retractable Technologies Inc. will supply the Biden administration with another $54.2 million in syringes and needles to help support Covid-19 vaccination efforts under a contract awarded by the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.

The contract, awarded Feb. 12, is for “1ML syringe w/25G x 1 needles,” according to a Bloomberg Government database. The contract didn’t specify the quantity purchased, and the company didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

The purchase was specifically for low dead space syringes that would be delivered by July 14, according to a filing by Retractable Technologies with the Securities ...
