Abbott Laboratories Inc. must face additional state false claims law claims by a whistleblower which alleged it submitted payment claims for heart procedures that were tainted by kickbacks.
Everest Principals LLC’s amended complaint filed Sept. 22 addressed deficiencies with regard to claims that Abbott violated the California, Florida, Georgia, and New York false claims statutes, Judge Thomas J. Whelan of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said in a Tuesday order.
