2019 Outlook: Obamacare Markets ‘Over the Hump’ From Early Years

Struggling insurers looking to sell individual health plans can rest a little easier going into 2019 as the markets have stabilized from their rocky beginnings.

“The market has settled down,” Jonathan Kiesling, a health-care policy analyst for the center-right think tank American Action Forum, told Bloomberg Law. “It’s more predictable today than it was a year ago” in terms of the number and health of people enrolling, he said.
