International affiliates of three Big Four audit firms strayed from U.S. audit rules in a handful of audits, according to a routine inspection of select audits released Wednesday by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
The U.S. audit regulator found deficiencies in the audit work of Deloitte & Touche (South Africa), Deloitte LLP (Canada), Ernst & Young (Australia), PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata LLC (Japan), and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Societe cooperative (Luxembourg), in at least one audit per firm that U.S. inspectors reviewed.
