Without a Cat, Mice Feel Free: The ‘Death’ of Kaspersky Lab

“Without a cat, mice feel free” is a Russian idiom alluding to the consequences of not projecting a strong and powerful presence.

Perhaps that was on President Donald Trump’s mind when he expelled 60 Russian diplomats in response to the poisoning of a former Russian spy, or when he signed a defense law banning the software of Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab Inc., a company the government believes can aid Russian intelligence agencies engaged in espionage.
