U.S. Chamber Satisfied With Business-Friendly Deregulation Trend

Immigration, infrastructure, trade, and the political environment are bigger immediate priorities for the business community than excessive regulation, the head of the nation’s top business lobbying group said in his annual State of American Business address, reflecting satisfaction with the Trump administration’s regulatory policies.

In a departure from the recent past, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donohue barely mentioned deregulation in his speech Thursday. Complaining about “job-killing regulations” was a recurring theme of his previous annual addresses and other public remarks.
