SCOTUS Should Revive Raytheon Fraud Claims, Whistleblower Says

The U.S. Supreme Court should reinstate claims that Raytheon Co. committed fraud under a satellite contract with the federal government, whistleblower Steven Mateski says in a newly filed petition for review.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit erred in concluding his complaint lacked sufficient details to satisfy False Claims Act pleading standards when it rejected the case in December, Mateski says.

Mateski raised enough allegations of facts to give Raytheon notice of the particular fraud-based misconduct alleged against it, the petition says.
