Reinstating $348 Million Verdict Is ‘Easy,’ Whistleblower Says

A $348 million false claims jury verdict against nursing home chain Consulate Health Care must be reinstated, whistleblower Angela Ruckh told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in an opening brief.

A district court ignored and misconstrued evidence before concluding in January that none of the claims alleging Medicare fraud were sufficient as a matter of law, the brief said.
