The Bureau of Prisons properly awarded Phoenix Contracting LLC a contract for 60 million nitrile exam gloves despite Global-PPE’s contention the agency unfairly eliminated it from consideration, the GAO said in a decision released Friday.
Global didn’t satisfy the solicitation requirement of having all 60 million gloves available for immediate delivery from a domestic location, the Government Accountability Office said.
The agency reasonably determined that Global only had 5 million gloves ready for immediate shipping from its Los Angeles warehouse, the GAO said.
The contract was worth nearly $10 million, according to Bloomberg Government.
