Contractors Sanctioned for Trafficking Named for First Time (1)

A government watchdog group has for the first time publicly identified two Defense Department contractors recently sanctioned for human trafficking violations.

Saudi company Tamimi Global Co. Ltd. and several subsidiaries were suspended from Army contracts 15 times and entered into a compliance agreement over trafficking infractions, a Project on Government Oversight investigator said in an Aug. 21 blog post.

At the same time, a Kuwaiti company called Texas Gulf Global General Trading & Contracting Co. was suspended once from an Army contract, POGO found. That company had about $500,000 in federal contracts from 2013 to 2015, and was suspended...
