Central Plateau Keeps Hanford Radioactive Waste Cleanup Contract

Central Plateau Cleanup Company LLC will perform a hazardous and radioactive waste cleanup contract for the Department of Energy with a maximum value of $10 billion at the Hanford former nuclear weapons production site in Washington state, the GAO said.

Protester Project W Restoration LLC didn’t show that the department improperly assigned its bid weaknesses under the technical/management approach factor in its evaluation, the Government Accountability Office said in a decision released Tuesday.

Project W also failed to show that the department conducted a flawed cost realism analysis, the GAO said.
