CACI Loses Protest of Encryption Contracts Worth $774 Million

CACI-Inc.-Federal failed to convince the U.S. Court of Federal Claims that the U.S. Army improperly awarded General Dynamics Inc. and Sierra Nevada Corp. encryption contracts worth $774 million.

Judge Zachary N. Somers on Tuesday issued an order granting Sierra Nevada’s and the government’s motions to dismiss CACI’s protest. Entry of judgment is stayed pending release of the court’s written opinion on or before Dec. 23, Somers said.

CACI challenged the contracts awarded under the Army’s Next Generation Load Device Medium (NGLD-M) procurement. General Dynamics’ award is worth $230 million; Sierra Nevada’s award is worth $544 million, CACI’s complaint said ...
