Lilith Mobile Video Game Scams Players, Class Suit Alleges

Lilith Games (Shanghai) Co. deceptively induces players of its Rise of Kingdoms mobile game to spend money in “microtransactions,” unlawfully operates gambling within the game, and capitalizes on cheating at the expense of non-cheaters, a new proposed class suit alleges.

Gambling occurs when players purchase items that they have a low chance of receiving, plaintiff Keith Coy alleges in the complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of a nationwide class.
