Brooklyn Brewery’s Trademark Battle With Brew Shop Falls Short

A maker of home beer-brewing kits can continue using its trademark, except for glassware and coasters, after a ruling that caps a five-year legal battle with a New York City brewery.

Brooklyn Brew Shop, the maker of DIY beer kits, may continue to use its mark after the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board found that its similarity to marks from the Brooklyn Brewery Corp. doesn’t inevitably lead to actual confusion.
