Amazon Accused of Sending ‘Threatening’ Health Coverage Notices

Amazon Corporate LLC allegedly sends legally deficient and “threatening” notices informing former employees of their right to stay on the company’s health plan, according to a complaint filed by a former Amazon worker in the Middle District of Florida.

Ex-Amazon worker Jaymes Ousley says the company’s notices don’t comply with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, the federal law requiring employers with 20 or more employees to allow workers to continue their health coverage after they’ve been terminated.
