Youths Defeat Trump’s Move to Kill Climate Lawsuit (1)

A novel climate change lawsuit brought by a group of mostly teenagers can move forward, a federal appeals court said, denying a Trump administration request to kill the case before it goes to trial.

In a March 7 opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit denied the federal government’s unusual request—going over the head of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon—for the appellate court to kill the lawsuit.
