Wyoming Moves on Several Fronts to Speed Use of Carbon Capture

Wyoming is moving forward on several fronts to advance carbon capture, use, and storage initiatives, despite a recent halt in operations at Petra Nova near Houston, the only U.S. carbon capture and use project.

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon (R) Thursday announced the completion of an Energy Department study launched in 2019 to determine the potential environmental and economic benefits of retrofitting nine units at four power plants in the state for carbon dioxide capture and use.
