Wisconsin National Guard Base Contaminated With PFAS, Suit Says

The National Guard Bureau should be blocked from proceeding with construction and demolition projects at a base in Wisconsin until it studies the potential release of hazardous “forever chemicals” there, a group aimed at stopping military flights in Madison told a federal court in the state.

The agency improperly prepared an environmental assessment instead of an environmental impact statement for its projects at the 115th Fighter Wing Installation in Madison, according to the filing in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
