White House Begins Review of Water Rule Easing State Veto Power

An EPA rule easing states’ power to veto pipeline and other infrastructure projects due to water quality concerns is now one step away from public release.

The Environmental Protection Agency sent the draft of the final rule (RIN: 2040-AF86) to the White House Office of Management on April 7 for an interagency review, usually the last step before a rule or policy is released to the public.
