Water District Seeks Court Order for Shasta Dam Raising Study

The nation’s largest agricultural water district isn’t backing away from plans to study the environmental impacts of raising California’s Shasta Dam and expanding the largest reservoir in the state.

Westlands Water District asked the California Court of Appeal Aug. 12 to vacate an injunction ordered against the district in response to a lawsuit filed by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra.
