Federal agencies under President Trump failed to manage climate change risks, according to a Government Accountability Office report released Tuesday that also faulted EPA chemical analysis programs.
The High-Risk Series report, which also addressed cybersecurity, public health, and fiscal responsibility programs, was the focus of a House Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing Tuesday. Many committee members echoed Chairwoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.) in calling the report and hearing among Congress’ most important, because they provide a blueprint for improving government effectiveness.
