The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s decision to finance a majority of a $17 billion water tunnel project drew a lawsuit from advocates opposed to it.
Food & Water Watch and Center for Food Safety filed the lawsuit Sept. 7 in California Superior Court for Los Angeles County seeking to invalidate the water district board’s August vote to fund nearly $11 billion of the project.
