US Steel Permit Approval Reversed by Appellate Court (1)

A Minnesota judge reversed a state decision to reissue a permit to a U.S. Steel Corp. mining facility, though the company can continue to operate with an expired permit.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) in November 2018 reissued to U.S. Steel a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit that governs discharges to surface and groundwater at a U.S. Steel ore processing operations in northern Minnesota.
