The Energy Department’s conditional loan commitments to deploy clean energy technologies provide more than just the promise of dollars—they could mean an extra “leg up” when it comes to getting permits from other agencies, said Jigar Shah, director of the Loan Programs Office.
“For those folks who use our office, by definition, you got a leg up because you’ve gotten a stamp of approval from another government agency that has said that they’ve done due diligence on this,” Shah said during a webinar hosted by ConservAmerica.
