U.S. Small Business Can Get $105 Million in Clean Energy Grants

The Energy Department is offering $105 million in small business grants for projects that produce clean energy and slow climate change, the agency said Monday.

Eligible projects include energy technology, carbon capture, sustainable agriculture, and atmospheric monitoring, the department said.

“As the backbone of our communities, small businesses have a big opportunity to lead the transition to a clean energy economy,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said in a statement.

The agency is trying to boost research and development so that it can meet the Biden administration’s goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
