Trump Signs Last-Minute Flood Insurance Extension

President Donald Trump signed a bill May 31 that extends the National Flood Insurance Program for two more weeks, with the bill becoming law just hours before the program was set to expire.

The bill, S. 1693, moves the expiration date for the financially troubled program to June 14. Before Trump signed the legislation, the flood insurance program was set to expire at the end of the day on May 31.
