Top EPA Air Official Will Return to California for Car Talks

EPA air chief Bill Wehrum will be heading west soon to continue talks with California air officials, as the federal agency nears a decision on the future of its greenhouse gas standards for passenger cars.

An Environmental Protection Agency spokesperson confirmed to Bloomberg Environment Wehrum’s plans to return to California, but said no date has been set for the meetings. Wehrum also met with California Air Resources Board officials last month to discuss the standards.
