Timber Company Sued Over California Wine Country Logging Plan

A timber company is moving forward with planned logging in Sonoma County, Calif., without a required permit to minimize the risk of killing threatened and endangered species, environmental groups say in a lawsuit filed in a California federal court.

Gualala Redwood Timber LLC’s actions violate the Endangered Species Act, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
