Timber Company Seeks to Avoid Challenge to Logging in California

Environmental groups’ challenge to a logging project in Sonoma County, Calif., must be dismissed because a state court already blocked the project from proceeding, Gualala Redwood Timber LLC told a federal court in the state.

Because the lawsuit seeks to enjoin logging that’s already enjoined, there’s no live controversy, according to the company’s motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
