Three Cities Crossed Off Feds’ Fuel Economy Public Hearing List

The Trump administration is ditching plans to hold public hearings in Detroit, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles on its plans to freeze federal fuel economy standards.

Instead, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency will hold two hearings—Sept. 21 in Pittsburgh and Sept. 24 in Fresno, Calif., according to a draft Federal Register notice shared with Bloomberg Environment.
