Texas Must Release Ethylene Oxide Risk Assessment Records

Texas environmental agency officials must disclose confidential documents related to a revised risk assessment for ethylene oxide to the Sierra Club, a state appeals court ruled.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality lost an appeal to keep the documents confidential on Tuesday, after the Texas Appeals Court, Third District said their request for an attorney general decision on the issue was untimely and there wasn’t a compelling reason to withhold the information.
