Texas LNG Plants Menace Endangered Ocelot, Group Says

Three planned liquefied natural gas facilities in Brownsville, Texas, would put the endangered ocelot in the U.S. at grave risk if they’re built, an environmental group says.

The allegations could form the basis of a lawsuit forcing the companies to change their construction plans. Defenders of Wildlife said April 23 it hasn’t reached any decisions on next steps, however, because the companies are still negotiating mitigation plans with the Fish and Wildlife Service.
