Austin Sues to Stop $2 Billion Pipeline Construction (1)

Construction on a natural gas pipeline in Texas will illegally put endangered species at risk, the City of Austin says in a new lawsuit.

Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline LLC has yet to receive a permit under the Endangered Species Act for the $2 billion Permian Highway Pipeline, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

The 430-mile long pipeline would carry gas from West Texas to the Gulf Coast.
