Tetra Tech, Builder Sued Over Home Values at SF Superfund Site

Falling homes prices near the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Superfund site in San Francisco have prompted another lawsuit alleging fraud and false advertising.

The case, filed April 4 in San Francisco Superior Court, claims that Navy contractor Tetra Tech EC, homebuilder Lennar Corp., developer Five Point Holdings LLC, and some of their employees covered up knowledge of industrial and radioactive waste nearby when selling and marketing new homes.

Homeowner Jonah S. Hersowitz sued for unspecified damages and punitive costs alleging fraud, negligence, misrepresentation, and false advertising.
