Tennessee Coal Ash Spill, Cleanup Draws Class Action (Corrected)

A Roane County homeowner has filed a class action in federal court against the Tennessee Valley Authority and Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., claiming they failed to adequately warn about adverse health effects from a massive 2008 coal ash spill and its cleanup.

The TVA and Jacobs Engineering also allegedly concealed new information about leaks and high levels of toxic particulates in the area in the years since the spill’s abatement.
