Supreme Court Denies Chevron Request to Review Climate Case (1)

The U.S. Supreme Court won’t take up another oil industry petition seeking to derail climate litigation.

The justices on Monday denied a petition from Chevron Corp. and other companies to review whether high-stakes lawsuits filed by Oakland and San Francisco fall under federal common law—a determination that would prevent the cases from advancing.
