Supreme Court Declines to Hear $4 Million Free Speech Dispute

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear a case between a Florida developer and a woman who says a $4.4 million award against her violates her right to free speech.

The justices Monday denied a petition for review filed by Maggy Hurchalla, an environmentalist who has fought Lake Point Phase 1 and Phase 2 LLC over its plans to develop land in Martin County.
