A federal court dismissed claims against the solar energy company SunPower Corp. in its trademark infringement lawsuit against Sunpower California LLC, a solar and roofing sales, marketing and consulting company.
Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo for the U.S. District Court of Southern California threw out Sunpower California’s counterclaims against SunPower that alleged SunPower intentionally interfered with Sunpower California’s future businesses with some clients, according to the court order.
Sunpower California failed to show a prospective economic relationship with the San Diego Padres, and therefore didn’t sufficiently provide evidence that SunPower interfered with that relationship.
