Strict Environmental Terms Sought for EU-U.K. Brexit Deal (Corrected)

Leading European advocacy groups are pressuring the European Union to require the U.K. to adhere to strict environmental protections and sustainable development commitments as part of their relationship going forward.

The concerns, outlined in a letter to EU leaders from the European Environment Bureau comes in advance of a Nov. 25 summit between EU leaders and British Prime Minister Theresa May to hammer out the details of the U.K.'s withdrawal, known as Brexit.
