EPA’s Top Air Official Discusses Ethylene Oxide in Georgia (2)

The EPA’s top air official met with its newly appointed Southeast regional administrator to discuss releases of the cancer-causing chemical ethylene oxide from medical sterilizer facilities in Georgia.

Georgia has joined Illinois in checking air around its sterilizer plants for the chemical, emissions of which have drawn protests from community and environmental groups.
