Speedy Senate Passage of Conservation Bill Slowed by Shutdown

The latest Senate effort to reauthorize the Land and Water Conservation Fund could be in trouble once again, this time because of the government shutdown.

Some Democrats argue the Senate should be voting to reopen the government before it brings other bills to the floor.

“We shouldn’t let Mitch McConnell pretend that we’re not in a shutdown,” Sen.
