Senate Environment Panel Approves Biden’s CEQ and EPA Nominees

The path for two of President Joe Biden’s top environmental picks won Senate committee approval on Wednesday, greatly increasing the likelihood that they will eventually be confirmed.

The Environment and Public Works Committee approved the nominations of Brenda Mallory to be the head of the White House Council on Environmental Quality and Janet McCabe to be the Environmental Protection Agency’s deputy administrator. Both Mallory and McCabe were approved on 11-9 votes.
