Tommy Beaudreau was confirmed as deputy Interior secretary on Thursday after the Senate approved his nomination on an 88-9 vote.
Beaudreau was most recently a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, a law firm that represents some oil and gas companies. He joined the firm after serving for six years at Interior during the Obama administration, including as its chief of staff. He’s also a former chief of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.
