Senate Committee Again Approves Justice Environment Pick

The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Jeffrey Bossert Clark to head the Justice Department’s environment division Jan. 18. over opposition from Democrats.

Clark cleared the panel on an 11-10 vote. If confirmed by the Senate, Clark will oversee attorneys who handle enforcement cases brought by the EPA and those who defend environmental challenges to government actions, such as the Trump administration’s decisions to rescind environmental rules.
