San Francisco Taking Steps to Deal With Sea-Level Rise

San Francisco Bay Area officials will release a series of proposed climate resiliency plans May 17 meant to protect the region from sea level rise and flooding from more intense storms in the coming decades.

Nine concepts to be unveiled grew out of a year-long research and design competition funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, which got involved after voters in 2016 showed their willingness to pay for measures to address climate impacts.
