San Francisco Bay Runoff Suit Trimmed but Can Proceed

A marble company must face some of an environmental group’s Clean Water Act claims over stormwater runoff into San Francisco Bay, the Northern District of California ruled.

Eden Environmental Citizen’s Group LLP is accusing American Custom Marble Inc. of leaving industrial materials outdoors where it operates in San Jose, causing dirt, metals and other pollutants to collect in storm water. That water allegedly discharges into one outfall that eventually leads into the San Francisco Bay.
