Revlon Sued By Developer Over Costs of Contamination Cleanup

Revlon Consumer Products Corp. must contribute to the cost of cleaning up contamination at the site of a planned Marriott hotel and restaurant in New York, the developer of the site says in a lawsuit filed in federal court Friday.

Revlon dumped Freon at the site, Bilwin Development Affiliates LLC says in its lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. It asserted claims under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
