Regan Promises to Give All Sides Equal Access in EPA Rulemaking

The EPA will take steps to see that green groups, industry representatives, and others have an equal voice as the agency goes about crafting new rules, Administrator Michael Regan said in an internal email Tuesday.

The email, which was reviewed by Bloomberg Law, follows years of complaints from environmental groups that they were shut out of meetings with Environmental Protection Agency regulators, and that industry groups allegedly had preferred and sometimes secret access—charges that the Trump-era EPA repeatedly denied.
