Massachusetts is set to spend millions more on addressing toxic PFAS chemicals in drinking water under a bill soon headed to the governor’s desk.
The Massachusetts Senate unanimously approved $28.4 million Oct. 24 to help clean up sites contaminated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances as part of a $780 million supplemental budget bill (S. 2378). Gov. Charlie Baker (R) also had proposed about $28 million to deal with the chemicals.
