Permian Gas Pipeline Shortage Seen Slowing Oil-Production Growth

A shortage of natural gas pipelines in the Permian Basin will inhibit crude production from the world’s biggest shale field next year, adding yet more pressure to already sluggish US crude growth.

Recent outages for maintenance and a lack of new pipes until late next year means the Permian is “effectively capped” in how much gas can be shipped out of the basin, Sanford C.
